Title: Posting rights
Description: I've got an idea

I think you should have it where if a member does not post in an official topic(not off topic) in 14 days that they have their RD posting right restricted again. Until they get 12 more posts in official topics. THis is to keep people from just posting enough to talk in RD. WDYT?

What if the people just dont post, would they be suspended for that?

Not suspended. If they don't post at all they wouldn't have posting rights to lose. If they go on vacation then PM IN so they don't lose anything. And this is just for RD posting.

And what if people like me lose their PMing privileges?

He has not, leastways not for the time being. He said if. If => future, not present. :P

Thus far we don't seem to have a huge problem with people focusing mostly on RD. This is evident because it isn't thousands of posts larger than the other more important sections.

I suppose I could degrade some members if they opt to post soley in there, but it would also mean that I would have to manually promote every member when they reached 12. It's currently set up to automatically promote memebers at 12 posts, however, implementing your idea would make me have to remove it. With the current setup, if a person with 50 posts got degraded, it would automatically re-promote him because he has 12 or more posts. I suppose I could do all the promoting by hand, but once this place gets larger, it could easily become impractical.

Ok. NM then. I'll close this.
