Title: Windows Is Evil
Iruini Nuva - July 1, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
Just figured I'd let the world know that I'm not particularly pleased with Microsoft right now.
ClickyIt took them 3 years to finally determine that there is a "serious problem with your computer". As if the 4 or 5+ blue screen a day reports plus a lot of random program ones weren't enough. >_>

Thank goodness I have a compaq :D
I know exactly what you mean IN. My family used to buy Microsoft computers until all the blue screens happened. My Presario V3000 notebook computer hasnt ever blue screened once. The only time it has had problems is when I had too many Halo CE maps and I had to wipe the info clean.

*doen't like Compaq* I think you fail to realize the issue. The point is that the OS is Windows. It doesn't matter who the manufacturer is. For example, I have a Dell, and those are considered some of the most stable systems on the market. Microsoft doesn't actually make many computers. So basically, your computers are just as susceptible. Just throw a GeForce Series 5 in one. :P
This is why I'm getting a new one.

Dell XPS Gen 2 with green trim and 4 USB ports with 120 GB?
Iruini Nuva - July 2, 2007 10:01 PM (GMT)
4 USB? LOLz. My current one has 6.
My sights are now set on the following:
Vigor Delta Force Dual Intel Core 2 Duo E660 (2.4GHz), 4GB RAM, GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB, a couple 250 gig hard drives, you know, the works. :P I'm actually considering dropping off one of the drives, seeing as I already have a 250 for this system. That way I can save 60-something dollars and easily have my old data.
Oh yes, and this one can go up to 10 USB ports. :P

Ever heard of notebooks IN? ;)
Iruini Nuva - July 2, 2007 11:04 PM (GMT)
Yep, and for game developers, they aren't as good I need to be able to expand and upgrade. A laptop, though certainly nice for traveling (though being homeschooled that's a little less of an issue), isn't nearly as good for game dev. Still love to have one, but I need power over portability. *shrugs*

I think I have an idea if your interested ;)

Notebooks are cool, but hardly ideal for any media work of any sorts.

My thoughts exactly.
So what's this great idea NB?

It looks way too underpowered...
I'm now considering building my own. I've found that I can build something with at least twice the power of the other one I mentioned but for $400 less. Quad-Core FTW. :D

Just because Bill's legal name change gives him the numbers 666, doesn't mean that windows is evil. :P
Iruini Nuva - July 17, 2007 08:35 PM (GMT)
..Not quite sure I get that one...
wolf waltzing - July 18, 2007 12:16 AM (GMT)
I read somewhere that William Henry Gates III was 666 added together in some code...anyway.

Lemme get this straight. You're calling me *gasps* random?
