Iruini Nuva - November 19, 2006 05:41 PM (GMT)
As continued from
here. Feel free to discuss this possibility. :)
'B' - November 19, 2006 05:48 PM (GMT)
yeah i think that is very possble and i also think that we should do it as i would love to go and this is a kind-of excuse! the only bad thing for me would be the fact about telling my parents that i wanna go to E3 next year! :( if i say that ,they will say why and i'll say cause i wanna go!... and then they'll be like OK but then how will i be able to go off and try and find you! <_< it will be hard (E3 is huge) and my parents are a bit over protective of me! <_<
But i definately think it would be totally awesome! :D i'd love to go and see all the new and awesome stuff that is there! :)
and like i said in the other topic, I could take my PSP with some images about Biotech and some sprites and i could also download some stuff! :)

Download? Bring sprites? Why on a PSP?
'B' - November 19, 2006 05:57 PM (GMT)
I could bring my PSP so i could:
*Bring Biotech Sprites for us (and other people) to see -> Advertising to big companies! :)
*Download stuff at the show to see directly
k?
Iruini Nuva - November 19, 2006 05:58 PM (GMT)
Ah. I would just take my dad's laptop. :P
'B' - November 19, 2006 06:13 PM (GMT)

Algernon the infamous - November 20, 2006 04:40 AM (GMT)
I don't really see Biotech, Anaglyph or ANY Gamemaker-based company being taken seriously at E3...o_o
It costs money too.
*DWAN* - November 20, 2006 04:42 AM (GMT)
No. We are planning on MEETING at E3.

'B' - November 20, 2006 04:51 PM (GMT)

-Zach- - November 20, 2006 08:31 PM (GMT)

That's true, it might simply be good to just talk with people and get our name out there. Even if we aren't actually part of the conference.
'B' - November 21, 2006 06:52 PM (GMT)
yup! ;) just a thought!
-Zach- - November 21, 2006 07:12 PM (GMT)
Well even if we're not trying to get our name out, we can nonetheless get the feel for the conference and the atmosphere, so that we know what we're stepping into if we ever did attend as showcasers. (many many many many years from now XP)
*DWAN* - November 21, 2006 08:20 PM (GMT)
I agree completely zachrias.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to go but IF I do I'll be sure to bring my sketchpad, laptop, and a few ideas. Oh, and a mask to hide my face :P .

Consider this: Nintendo will accept giving development kits to companies if they meet these requirements:
[
* our company's full legal and incorporated company name (including Ltd., Inc., Co.), address, telephone and fax numbers and a main contact and that person's email address.
* A list of the principal members of your company, and their relevant game industry experience.
* A list of published game titles (any platform).
* A list of any subcontractors, subsidiaries, branch offices or other related companies that you anticipate will aid in development. Please describe how they will serve to assist in software development.
* List any employees under the age of 18 working at your company.
Once we have this information, we can determine if it would be appropriate to send a developer non-disclosure agreement for your review and signature. We will contact you after we have made a decision.
]
Some more detailed info:
Developer Qualifications: An authorized developer must have demonstrated the ability to develop and program excellent software for Nintendo video game systems or for other video game or computer systems. In addition, an authorized developer must have a stable business organization with adequate office facilities, equipment, personnel and financial resources in order to insure the security of Nintendo proprietary information and in order to insure an effective environment for working with Nintendo and/or its licensees. Nintendo provides authorized developers with highly proprietary information and many of Nintendo's licensees also rely on recommendations and referrals to authorized developers. For these reasons, Nintendo exercises a very high level of care in approving only a select number of authorized developers.
Game Development: Rights granted to an authorized developer extend only to the use of Nintendo's proprietary information for the development of games on the platform for which they signed the appropriate non-disclosure agreement. Rights do not extend to the right to manufacture, market, promote or otherwise exploit developed games or the Nintendo proprietary information, whether incorporated in hardware, software or accessory formats. An authorized developer may develop a game on a speculation basis or on a contract basis with an authorized Nintendo licensee. Authorized licensees of Nintendo are licensed to develop and market approved games on the system for which they have an existing Nintendo licensing agreement.

So, this is pretty easy ( ), accept maybe the bit in bold.
Just throwing that out there, folks!
-Zach- - November 27, 2006 11:20 PM (GMT)
Yes I've seen this... but remember... you must have three non outside resources dependent games to show for... as well as proof that you can buy every copy of the game produced at cost.

Enlighten me on what E3 is?
-Zach- - December 4, 2006 08:36 PM (GMT)
It's an international conference showcasing new Software and game related material. You can browse the booths on the floor for different info on upcoming games, software and hardware, *and freebies* and you usually can meet some pretty important people. They also have alot of extras including award shows and V.I.P. stuff, usually this is where most games get a formal anouncement. Sorta like toyfair, or brickfest....
:D

Off topic-Oh yeah. *goes and gets the strongest air soft gun he has* *points it at him self in the rear and shoots*
Yeah, the reason I had to do that was, I as a gamer have heard o that many many times and I should've known it.
On topic-But any way, yeah it'd be cool if the Insurgent had that interview

I think it'd be the company, not the game itself. The game can't have created 3 games and buy them all back on its own. :P

Sure we can! :P.... It's called Insurgent V.1.0, Insurgent V.1.5, and Insurgent V.2.0. :D
Of course buying all copies may be a problem. v_v

He had been saying that the game had to make its own games. :P As a company, we're fine on that. I don't think there's really an issue with buying copies, seeing as everything is all free.
-Zach- - December 9, 2006 07:11 PM (GMT)
lol... no... I mean to be a licensed nintendo retailer you have to be planning on mass producing games for re-sale, and you have to have the financial stability to pay for the manufacturing, since nintendo doesn't want to suffer from the unsuccessfullness of third party games.
Iruini Nuva - December 9, 2006 10:51 PM (GMT)
I understand that. True, we don't have any real costs, profits, etc. , so we can't necessarily prove that we'll always have money in the bank. I'm just saying that at the moment our financial stability is perfect. :P

Personally, I think we should start for PC, and build up our way to Wii, 360, and PS3.
We can start selling our games to pawn stores for money and print labels for the CDs so they look professionally done. So we start big and say "Hey, Algernon! We're king of the losers!" :P XD Na JK (at least I better hope I am) This may be a way to get to E3
Iruini Nuva - December 15, 2006 02:43 AM (GMT)
I've been checking around, and I think that selling stuff via the internet will be our best bet for now.
Nickbomb - Overkill PMer - December 19, 2006 02:47 AM (GMT)
Good point, but we may be able to do both. But internet may be our best. Probably best to start with MoS3D when we have different weapons for it.

I've also toyed with the idea of putting out a special version of the Insurgent. The story can survive just fine even with complete detachment from Bionicle. So much so that we can basically change some sprites and names and it'll be fully unique. That could also be a good start, or perhaps a follow-up.
