Clearly the area that needs the most improvement is the join rate. Think we can hit 40 by mid-February?
Thanks for helping this forum to grow above and beyond our goals for this month. We all appreciate it. :BTRulez:

Most of it came over Christmas break and a few saturdays ago. ;)
Iruini Nuva - January 17, 2007 06:32 PM (GMT)
Even so, the point is that you PM a lot. :P
-Zach- - January 17, 2007 10:23 PM (GMT)
And yet again, IN has won the understatement of the year award... Funny how many there seem to be this year. :P

Uh wouldnt you mean month? ;)
Back on topic. Has anyone figured out a way to expand the members in the forum?
-Zach- - January 18, 2007 01:11 AM (GMT)
Well he's earned it like three times this month sooo...
We're too scared to advertise. IN might report us. ;)
:P
Ok, so really. It is rather hard to advertise when advertising is illegal on about 80% of all forums. Somehow I think Google could be a resource.... somehow.
Iruini Nuva - January 18, 2007 04:31 AM (GMT)
Sheesh, I make one lousy report and you keep hounding me about it. >_> I didn't even report you! :P Go bother Hewkii if you want to talk about reporting people. *glares*
Tell me about it. I'm working on finding locations that'll help, but I haven't been able to develop stuff too far. Right now we'll just need to go by word of mouth. After all, that's how people like ToE got here. Advertising isn't necessarily illegal on most forums, but you often have to be fairly active there to do so. Seeing as there aren't an abundance of forums worth advertising on, and those that are often require a bit of work and time, I haven't been able to do much in that area. I'd love to use Google too, I'm just not certain what the BZP staff will think. I suppose I could just find some witty way to encourage people to look up my name on Google. This forum is on the first page. XD
But again, we don't want to stretch the rules.

I heard two but... Report me for what, I haven't advertised.
But yeah, it's extremely hard to advertise. The only reason anaglyph has had any success is that people knew about the site first, then they ditched BZP, so everybody knew where to look. >_>
wolf waltzing - January 21, 2007 02:41 AM (GMT)
There are a couple of places I go where it's certainly not "illegal" to advertise, but I just don't know if they're your target audience. I mean, shucks, I wouldn't even be here if not for the persistence of a certain little gremlin I'm related to.
So let's say I post a link, what kind of people would most likely be interested? What does this have to offer besides good company?
*DWAN* - January 21, 2007 03:26 AM (GMT)
Well currently we are an all christian gaming company. We have a bionicle game demo out for them to play. We are making a few non bionicle games(or planning to rather).

yeah right, you wish
Anyway. it's my understanding that even though just about everyone here so far is Christian, it is not a Christian gaming company, so there. Also, I already know what you've listed and I'm not sure if that's enough...at least not for the place I go, where most people have never even heard of Bionicle.
Iruini Nuva - January 21, 2007 07:23 AM (GMT)
At the moment, I do consider this to be a Christian gaming company, but I don't advertise it as such, seeing as that isn't necessarily a seller for many people. If these locations are Christian, then go for it, if not, it may or may not be a good idea. Personally, I have no problem telling the world, but the world may not necessarily be overjoyed. >_> Stupid world. :P
We also do have a nice little non-Bionicle software release if y'all have forgotten. :P
wolf waltzing - January 21, 2007 01:50 PM (GMT)
Ok, I may try, but it won't easy--it's not like I'm well known on these boards that I'm talking about.
Iruini Nuva - January 21, 2007 05:38 PM (GMT)
Don't worry about it quite yet. We'll come up with a nice little script for your post. :P
wolf waltzing - January 21, 2007 05:53 PM (GMT)
Ok, that'd be great. I was just about to ask for that.
Iruini Nuva - January 21, 2007 06:00 PM (GMT)
Is it a more or less Christian site or not?
wolf waltzing - January 21, 2007 09:15 PM (GMT)
One is a Christian rock site, the other isn't Christian. So, give me one fo' the X-tians and one fo' the Bionicle fans (cuz I found a place for that).
-Zach- - January 22, 2007 03:54 AM (GMT)
*perks up* Christian rock site? Care to show me so I can, help, "advertise?" :P
wolf waltzing - January 22, 2007 07:53 PM (GMT)
Christianrock.net community. But it's not as lively as I thought it would be...I'm also a geek on those boards, so, there. I'll have to review the rules, but I'm fairly certain that there's nothing wrong with advertising as long as done quietly. A lot of up and coming musicians advertise, but I must admit I've never seen a forum advertised
Oh, and you have to join the community before you can even see anything--there are no such things as forum guests.
-Zach- - January 22, 2007 09:05 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I've seen boards like that. And yes, you may check because some forums allow advertising if it's on the subject that the board is. BZP used to allow Bionicle-related forum advertising, but not anymore. v.v

I can see the whole board just fine. I haven't joined yet either. :P
I'm currently being pretty lenient on regarding advertising. I do intend on installing some ad policies (they're mostly ready), but advertising will still probably be allowed.
wolf waltzing - January 22, 2007 11:28 PM (GMT)
Wow, they (the CR boards) must've changed some rules since I joined.

Just as long as we can do it in PMs ;) My main concern
-Zach- - January 24, 2007 06:23 PM (GMT)
As long as we can advertise in IM's. >_>

Trust me, I'm more lenient about stuff like that.
Toa of Explosives - January 25, 2007 12:05 AM (GMT)
Woah, so many percent increases! And I know I did nothing to aid it (possibly). All I think I did was increase posts, became a member, and PMed. So yeah, I really did nothing.
Iruini Nuva - January 25, 2007 12:08 AM (GMT)
Well, boosting the forum size by about 5% isn't too shabby. :)
